Accelerating the Hero’s Journey: Art & Science of Visualization

On the horizon is a third wave of interest in the little-known and often-misunderstood practices of visualization common to the esoteric traditions of Tibetan Buddhism and Indian Yoga.  Anticipating future trends in clinical research and application, this series uses multiple perspectives to examine the various dimensions of Tibetan Buddhist visualization practice, including its philosophical underpinnings, psychological mechanisms, and neurological correlates. In addition to diverse lecture topics, each class focuses on building a vibrant visualization practice that exercises the mental muscles of mindfulness, compassion, wisdom, and inspiration simultaneously. Join Shastri Ethan Nichtern and Dr. Miles Neale for an exploration of these ancient power tools used for centuries to accelerate human development and actualize the hero’s journey of awakening for the benefit of all.
Recorded live at the Interdependence Project in New York City.
